Hello SES Families,
As a community, we are adjusting to rapidly changing circumstances. I know you have school-related questions, including: When will we be back in session? What about upcoming testing, trips, events? We have the same questions. It is frustrating not to know the answers yet, but we are fortunate to be part of a district that is working tirelessly to get the most updated information and create a plan to serve our community. As I learn answers to some of your questions, I will be in contact to pass it along to you as quickly as possible. The district has awebpage dedicated to COVID19 updates. It is a good resource to check frequently as well.
As we wait to learn more, we know some families may need resources for food. On Wednesday, March 18, the district is opening five sites which will be providing food for families. Click herefor more information. Additionally, we have been made aware that some local restaurants are providing free lunches for students while schools are closed. It is heartening to see all the ways the community members are stepping up to support one another at this time. Here is a link to a list of participating locations.
The SES building will be closed until March 30th (unless we start distance learning at that time). If you need anything, please call me at (952) 431-8793. It will bring you to my voicemail which is forwarded to my email. I will be checking my email during business hours and am happy to return calls to assist in any way I can.
We hope to see everyone soon. In the meantime, be well.
One additional note:
The parents that are coordinating the butter braid fundraiser for the senior party (orders for which were due today) have asked us to let you know that the fundraiser is on hold for now, with a collection date and delivery date to be determined, once school is back in session.
